Superior Ag Celebrates Grand Opening of Ohio River Terminal with Ribbon Cutting

(August 25, 2026) — Superior Ag officially celebrated the opening of its new, 32,000-ton Ohio River Terminal today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community open house, marking a major milestone in the cooperative’s commitment to serving farmers throughout southwestern Indiana, northern Kentucky, and surrounding regions.
Members, customers, local officials, business partners, employees, and community leaders gathered at the new facility to recognize the completion of the state-of-the-art fertilizer terminal and learn more about its capabilities and impact on local agriculture. The ribbon-cutting ceremony included remarks from Superior Ag leadership, board members, and local officials, followed by guided tours of the facility and an open house for attendees.

The Ohio River Terminal strengthens Superior Ag’s ability to efficiently receive, store, and distribute crop nutrients, enhancing supply chain reliability while positioning the cooperative for future growth. Strategically located along the Ohio River in southern Spencer County, the facility provides direct river access that improves logistics and creates greater flexibility in serving the needs of area farmers. The facility features modern unloading, storage, and handling capabilities designed to improve operational efficiency while increasing fertilizer availability during critical application windows.
