Celebrating National Cooperative Month: We are Stronger Together

Oct 29, 2025
Every October, we join cooperatives across the country in celebrating National Cooperative Month — a time to recognize the strength, values, and impact of the cooperative business model. This year’s theme, “Co-ops: Stronger Together,” perfectly reflects what we stand for at Superior Ag.

For nearly a century, Superior Ag has been serving local farmers through a foundation of member-ownership, community support, and shared success. As a cooperative, our mission goes beyond providing quality products and services — it’s about investing in the people and communities we serve. Every decision we make is guided by our commitment to helping our members, employees, and neighbors thrive.

What Makes Cooperatives Unique
Cooperatives like Superior Ag are owned and governed by their members — the people who use our services, not outside investors. That means the profits we generate are reinvested into the cooperative or returned to our members through patronage. It also means that every member has a voice in how we operate and grow.

This cooperative model creates a cycle of local prosperity. Dollars spent here stay here, supporting farms, families, and small businesses across our region. It’s this shared investment and purpose that make our communities stronger and more resilient.

Our Commitment to the Future
As we celebrate National Cooperative Month, we also look ahead to how we can continue strengthening our cooperative for generations to come. Whether it’s through innovation in precision agriculture, enhancing our products and services, or supporting youth and education programs, we remain dedicated to providing long-term value to our members.

Together, we’ve weathered challenges, adapted to change, and celebrated success — all because of the cooperative spirit that drives us forward.

Looking Ahead: Celebrating 100 Years in 2028
Superior Ag will reach an incredible milestone in 2028 — our 100-year anniversary! As we begin preparing to honor a century of service, growth, and community, we’re looking to our members and friends to help us tell our story.

If you have photos, memorabilia, or historical items related to Superior Ag or any of our legacy Farm Bureau County Co-op's that you would be willing to share, donate, or let us make a digital copy of to add to our company archive, please email us at marketing@superiorag.com or call 812-683-2809 ext. 1113.

Whether it’s an old feed sack, a newspaper clipping, or a photo from your family farm — every piece helps preserve our shared history. Thank you for being part of our cooperative family — past, present, and future!
