Highlights from Superior Ag’s 2025 Agronomic Knowledge Day
Our annual Agronomic Knowledge Day is our opportunity once a year to bring our growers from the entire trade geography together under one tent to talk about important agronomic topics, trends we’re seeing out in the fields, discuss seed orders for the coming year, network with industry representatives and our Superior Ag staff, and receive PARP points. Each year, our goal is to create an event where we can transfer knowledge that our great staff and industry experts have and help our growers find success on their acres.
This year’s event was held on August 14th at our WinField United Answer Plot in Dale, IN. Those in attendance got the opportunity to hear five sessions from industry and local experts that discussed practices and knowledge to take back to their farm. The overall theme of the day was “blocking and tackling with a couple trick plays,” relating farming to football and how succeeding requires both offence and defense. There’s a lot of things you’re juggling, there’s a lot of different positions on the field, a lot of things you have to think about, and a lot of things that are really important, but just like in football, the fundamentals “blocking and tackling” are the most important. But every good football team has a couple “trick plays” so there were a few new things on the horizon to keep in your sights or to implement when it makes sense.
This year’s topics were: Leading the Future with Next Generation Biotechnology in Row Crops; Eliminating the Enemy: Weeds, Disease and Insects; Leveling up Your Base Fertility; Refining High Yield Practices in Corn; and Fighting Stress with Science: The Role of Biologicals in Farming.
